pineapple upside-down pie
i guess i should write about work, but i can’t recollect anything fabulously ostentatious or blithely surly. i have been thinking of a lot of things including but not restricted to:
cooper union
central saint martins
la sorbonne
joey’s hands
finding a boyfriend
french grammar lessons
finding a home
telling people that i am leaving
researching surface
getting a haircut
today, noni asked me to get her a chicken caesar salad for dinner during my break, but after walking down newbury street and through copley, i decided to go to abp. she freaked out, but said the substitute caesar salad, chicken tarragon, artichoke tomato and kalamata olive salad i brought her looked good. peter greeted me by mouthing ‘hi marcus’ and smiling at me the way he always does when he’s on the phone. as usual, it was breathtakingly charming and left me deliriously elated. i ran into stephanie a few times and though we didn’t get to talk for a long time, we each got a few words in and went our seperate ways.
i had a lot of fun with sophia today, like i always do when i work with sophia. she wore that carmine sweater dress with the ribbon tie that i like, but not as much as the navy and olive silk dress that i secretly like and everyone else overlooks. she sang. i sang. we yelled. we talked. she giggled. i stuck out my tongue.
on the bus, i thought about what i’ve thinking about most lately. i play this thought (often with the vastly different remarks that my friends have made about this situation for the past two years) but still find myself too afraid to do anything about it.
i have the weirdest friends.
